Common App goes live August 1.
Use Common App for all your colleges (unless the college does not use Common App) otherwise use Common App. Instead of filling out the same information over and over, students complete one application (CommonApp.org) that can be sent to 1,000+ participating colleges.

Different colleges require different strategies—and different timelines.
📅 August 15
Submit applications that do NOT require essays.
📅 August 30
Submit colleges that require only the Common App Personal Essay.
📅 October 10
Submit colleges with supplemental essays.
📅 November 5
Submit California State Universities (CSU) and University of California (UC) applications.
Waiting until the official deadlines can mean:
❌ Less time for application review
❌ Missed scholarship opportunities
❌ Increased stress
❌ More competition
The students who are most successful don’t simply meet deadlines. They beat them! By a lot!
Get your applications submitted.
Ideally, submit all applications by the end of September to beat the deadline rush (except for Cal States and UC schools).
