- What: 2-day Intensive Jumpstart on College Applications
For many students the application process is a frightening prospect with so much weighing on acceptance. Because of this many students procrastinate while anxiety builds up inside them rushing to meet deadlines. Students do not need to fear applications or essays. With our expert help, student will be able to tackle and complete this project months before their peers while developing a winning game plan to stand out in a sea of applicants.
During this intensive two day event, we will guide and give your child the edge needed to gain admissions to a first choice college/university.
Upon completion of this class your student will have:
- An understanding of how college admissions officers view the application, including common mistakes and how to increase your odds of acceptance
- A completed Common App application months before any deadline
- Essays (there will be homework required. You will have working essays that can be hand crafted for many colleges.)
- Overview and Timeline and be ready months ahead of time
- The secret weapon – College Touch Points strategy. How to get colleges to know you are interested in attending their school.
- More hands on work and a binder full of tips, ideas and strategies
Each attendee will leave with a binder full of inside information that we’ve spent years collecting and editing designed to give them concise, cutting edge information that will propel their application to the top of the ‘accepted’ pile. Also, they will leave with a week-by-week timeline of exactly what to and when to do it. Each step is clearly laid out so there is no guesswork or panic.
This class is strictly limited to a maximum of 30 students per session so that your student will receive more personalized direction.
This class is specifically for the student who will be starting college in Fall 2012, or transferring in from a community college. Boot camp will be held at the Visions Offices 14362 N Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd Beach Room Scottsdale.
Registration begins at 8:30 and the class will start promptly and end at Noon.
- Homework Required: Please note that by the end of session 1 we will have brainstormed essay ideas and your child will be given a homework assignment to start an essay. During session 2 we will review your student’s essays and evaluate.
